The University of Maiduguri Veterinary Teaching Hospital was established as part of the vision of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Maiduguri, to provide quality veterinary healthcare services, clinical training, and research opportunities in Northern Nigeria.
Over the years, the hospital has evolved into a respected veterinary institution serving livestock farmers, pet owners, researchers, government agencies, and surrounding communities. Through dedication, resilience, and professional excellence, UNIMAID VTH has continued to expand its clinical services, academic contributions, and research capacity despite emerging challenges in animal health and public health sectors.
Today, the hospital remains committed to advancing veterinary medicine through innovation, practical learning, and impactful community engagement.
